Nina Goluskin
Lead product designer
I turn scattered platforms and big, unfinished visions into one product people can actually use, from research and strategy through shipped UI.
Recent work
- An AI drafting tool for the experts who set federal pay grades
- A partner portal I led from research to launch, which took USAID from one qualified inquiry every two weeks to six to eight in launch week
- A new version of the secure network DHS uses for the Super Bowl, the World Cup, and emergency response
Selected work
U.S. Office of Personnel Management · Federal hiring
Redesigning the federal hiring experience around one unified record

An AI tool for the people who set federal pay grades
I designed the supervisory path for an AI tool that drafts federal position descriptions, around a rule our team made together: the model may write the document, but it never chooses the grade.

How I work
I design products and services that make it clear and easy for people and the business to reach their goals, so the platform never gets in the way of the impact.
Drop me into something messy and I'll spend the first week getting the lay of the land: the problem, the goals, and who we're building for. Tell me what's top priority, and I'll find the gaps and get the rest done.
I'm a gatherer. I pull from every source and distill what matters, often a small detail from a research session that nobody else caught. I care about simple design, clear copy, and accessibility. My dad is blind, so I always think about who can use what I make.
Off the clock, I'm learning to cook new cuisines (Korean, lately), painting, diving, finding new ways to apply AI, and tinkering with LifeOps, my nerdy hobby of building systems to run my own life. Occasionally, I teach my cats, Loki and Asha, new tricks.
